Wasicka clueless donkey…

Awhile back, I pointed out that Paul Wasicka is retarded. This is what I said about Wasicka’s play on HSP:

“Wasicka’s 200,000 turn all-in into a 65k pot with top and bottom two pair against sbrugby is just horrendous. I really lost any respect I had for Wasicka after his turn check-raise against Farha and this turn insanity against sbrugby. I mean, this is basic stuff - any winning 2/4nl player understands basic concepts like “don’t bet three times the pot to close out the action”. This is really as basic as it gets.”

HSP tilts me…

I want to like High Stakes Poker so much, but the consistently terrible play just tilts me.

Ramdin calling for straight in multi-way pot with JT on QQQ9 turn. Where do these morons come from?

Jamie Gold who, along with Hachem, are proof that tournament poker is joker poker. Jamie Gold is easily the biggest moron in the history of poker. Jamie Gold is what happens when brothers and sisters have sex. And don’t get me started on Eli Elezra - where do they find these monkeys?

There is way too much bluffing and a lot of the OOP play is just terrible. The amount of raises called with hands that are incredibly likely to be dominated is just stupifying.

Wasicka is nut-peddling hard but that’s probably almost the best way to play against these morons. Peddle, value-bet, draw smart, use a little pot control, set up image, pull a couple moves, count your money at the end. Bad players will always pay off nits. And good players are susceptible to moves from ‘nit’ players. Amazing how often winning poker is simple poker.

Alaei and sbrugby mostly just play textbook low variance poker against these monkeys which, in effect, makes for a pretty unexciting game. Umm, 3-bet anyone? 4-bets obviously out of the question for this crowd.

How do these idiots keep betting into Sammy? Let that donkey lag bet - he wants to bet so, so bad. Accomodate him - everytime. Wasicka almost plays a beatiful hand against Sammy in Episode 7, when he check-calls TP OOP, then checks the turn and Sammy double-barrels air. Wasicka then has a brain explosion and check-raises 100k on Sammy’s 20k turn pot 2nd barrel with a hand that only gets called by better. Retarded stuff from Wasicka.

Wasicka’s 200,000 turn all-in into a 65k pot with top and bottom two pair against sbrugby is just horrendous. I really lost any respect I had for Wasicka after his turn check-raise against Farha and this turn insanity against sbrugby. I mean, this is basic stuff - any winning 2/4nl player understands basic concepts like “don’t bet three times the pot to close out the action”. This is really as basic as it gets.

I just watch it now so I know what people are talking about when they discuss hands on CardRunners. And also for Gabe Kaplan jokes. He needs a raise. And the waitresses - a couple of the brunettes are so hot its indecent.

Had a little flutter last night with Vos on 25/50nl CAP on FT - he taunted me into making 10 x $1500 random hand all-ins and I was allowed to leave if I went 8k down. I lost the first hand and won 7 out of the next 9 I think - the worst starting hands always won, lucky for me I always had the crappy hole cards. I won about 7k in a few minutes, which was pretty hot, as I had the whole Season 5 of Gilmore Girls to watch last night. Rory finally got her cherry popped. Only took the writers a full 4 seasons to make that happen (Lorelai puts out with a couple new guys every season - bit tarty, but I guess that’s what you expect from someone who gets pregnant at 15).

Brunson v Negraneau v Farha - a really fun HSP hand

Negraneau is one of my idol players - I love the way he plays, I love the way he approaches the game, I love his talk and analysis and I hope to one day be half as good as him. But I’ll never understand how he gets away from his hand here - it just seems to me that Todd Brunson (who I rate highly) can be making this play with so many hands Daniel beats to make this a good fold - I *suspect* Negraneau is guilty of a little fancy fold syndrome here but he’s too brilliant to EVER criticise. Awesome fun hand.
